William Henry Jackson has done a great job of photographing the world during 1890s. Here he has a recorded the India as seen thru his camera during 1895 Switch to gallery veiw for a better veiwing  Above is a sample titled "Madras - view from the harbor." . As you can see this view now is very much a non-existant. The cost line has changed and the view too.
